Rob Edwards along with Gary O'Neil represent the early candidates under consideration to replace the former manager as manager of Wolves.

Pereira was sacked on Sunday following the team's 10-match without a victory beginning to the Premier League campaign.

Furthermore both candidates - both of who have previous links to the club - are among the options to be evaluated by the Wolves leadership.

The manager is presently at Middlesbrough, which would pose a potential obstacle to his appointment at Molineux.

However the former Luton Town manager - who made over a century of games for the club during his time as a player - is said to be a leading candidate for the position.

The mid-career manager is reportedly enjoys backing from the club board as they begin the process of hiring a fresh head coach.

Gary O'Neil is also appearing as a unexpected candidate, although he would be a surprising choice considering he was sacked by the club in December last year.

The ex- West Ham player is currently unemployed meaning the club would not need to pay any compensation.
