Passionate supporters of the pop star are demanding that a man who breached a barrier and touched the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and charging at Grande while the cast proceeded down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though court documents revealed that he was set to attend court on the following morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the same location last December.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is clearly a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had revealed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented another response on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested social media platforms to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande appeared surprised when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a two-part interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising bond between two distinct witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of the previous year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning a pair for outstanding attire and set decoration.
